Imo women stage protest over alleged slapping of Okorocha’s daughter, Uloma

OWERRI, Imo -                                  Hundreds of women in Imo staged a protest on Wednesday, to lay complain over the alleged assault meted out Mrs. Uloma Nwosu, the daughter of Former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha.

Okorocha’s daughter was alleged to have been slapped by a member of the recovery of government properties set up by Governor Emeka Ihedioha.

It was gathered that the women assembled at the Rochas foundation office along Okigwe road, at about 10.59am.

They afterwards marched to the state police headquarters to submit their petition against the government concerning the allegation.

CEOAfrica recalled that Senator Okorocha, on 28 July said a member of the recovery committee set up by Governor Emeka Ihedioha slapped his daughter, Uloma Nwosu, on Friday during one of their recovery operations of government properties at All-In furniture store linked to Okorocha’s wife, Nkechi.

The ex-governor since then, has demanded apology from governor Ihedioha-led administration.
