The African Academy of Languages (ACALAN), the African Union specialized language agency organizes a 2-Day Consultative meeting on ‘Terminology Development for African Languages and for ACALAN Publication’ to bring languages dimension into discourse in the education system.

The 2-Day Consultative meeting which kick-started today 23rd July at Bamako, Republic of Mali will come to an end tomorrow 24th July, 2019.

The meeting under the Chairmanship of the Immediate past President of Assembly of Academician, Professor Ayo Bamgbose is with the aims to: bring the language dimension into discourse in the education system; revisiting and consolidating the methodological framework to develop terminologies in African languages; consolidating and advocating for use of the harmonized orthographies in African languages and paving the way for development of terminology.
