Zambian President Edgar Lungu has dropped Finance Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe and has replaced her with Bank of Zambia Deputy Governor Operations Dr Bwalya Ng’andu.

According to a statement issued by President’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Isaac Chipampe, Dr Ng’andu will be sworn in on Monday, 22 July, at State House.

President Lungu has also nominated Bwalya Ngandu as a Member of Parliament by revoking the nomination of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri as member of Zambian Parliament.
