A lecturer at the Rivers State University, Professor Emmanuel Amadi, was on reportedly murdered on Tuesday by a group of gunmen suspected to be armed robbers.

The Rivers State Police Command confirmed the incident, which happened about 8pm in Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
