The first female pharmacist Vice Chancellor in Nigeria, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, who is currently the VC of Chrisland University, Abeokuta, on May, 2019, received a distinguished award, in recognition of her selfless service to the promotion, upliftment and Ideals of Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP).
The erudite professor, who has bagged countless awards, again added to her numerous achievements, during the association’s 22nd Annual national conference at Omambala in Anambra state.
The drug abuse fighter is truly known as one of the leading forces in Nigeria that agitates for a complete elimination of illicit drug use among people, especially students in colleges.
It is on record that in recent time Professor Babalola had endorsed ‘Drug Abuse Round Table’ program in Chrisland University, which she said is part of the urgent solutions in eradicating drug abuse in Nigeria.
Recall that the Pharmacist VC was named among the 16 prominent Nigerian Women that excel in Science and Research.
It is on these premises that NAIP deem it fit to award the vibrant V.C with a distinguished award.
Speaking on the award, the eloquent Professor charged Nigerians to be involved in every exercise that will help eradicate drug abuse in the country.
