Despite a landmark ruling by the Botswana High Court in favor of decriminalizing homosexuality, some members of the country’s clergy have insisted  that homosexuality goes against the word of God and should remain illegal. 

The  president of the Botswana Evangelical Fellowship, Jobe Koosimile  maintained that homosexuality is against God’s commandment and should be considered as sin against God.
