Public holiday seizes on May 29 as Buhari signs June 12 bill into law

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Monday authorized the Public Holiday Amendment bill into law.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, revealed this to journalist after the signing ceremony.

The new law allows public holiday to be declared on June 12.

Meaning, 29th of May will no longer be public holiday but handing over date and working day.

Meanwhile, CEOAfrica recalls that Wednesday, June 12 has been announced public holiday by the Federal Government.
