Giovani Lo Celso , Real Betis midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks and the North London club are said to have already lodged a bid of £53million for the 23-year-old which has been rejected (Diaro de Sevilla).

Lo Celso officially became a Betis player in April after completing a permanent deal from PSG following a season-long loan at the Spanish side.

Betis triggered a £20million option in the loan deal after his impressive season in La Liga saw him score 16 goals and six assists in 45 games in all competitions (talkSPORT).

Lo Celso has an £88million release clause in his contract and it is understood Betis want to sell him for a fee closer to that amount which would represent a huge profit (BBC).
