It was a pathetic end for Zambian man whose remains was found in his house several months later due to lack of relatives.

The man, Boyd Swatwembe, from Siavonga, a town in the Southern Province of Zambia who used to live alone was last seen in December 2018.

Report reveals that he left his friends at a drinking spree for his house complaining that he was not feeling well, last year.

According to his friends who discovered his remains and reported to the authorities, said: “Boyd was staying alone, the last night he was seen, he was talking about leaving the area to go and visit some of his relatives in Livingstone.”

But it is believed that Boyd got seriously ill, tried to treat himself and eventually died.

His friends said they thought he had left for Livingstone, but with the turn of events, they said they were not surprised that a dead body that looks like starvation combined with illness was found in his house.

“There is no way this can be someone, this is Boyd, look at the size of this skeleton, he is Boyd. This man had no relative here, he was not in good health he used to drink on empty stomach most of the times because he was alone.

“The last night we saw him, he mentioned going to Livingstone to visit some of his extended family for help and some assistance.

“All this time we thought that he is in Livingstone. This is his skeleton, just look at the bottle of water nearby but no food plates. Boyd died” they added.
