Limpopo 15-year-old pupil apprehended over stabbing his classmate

A Limpopo school pupil has been apprehended following the death of his classmate after the deadly stabbing within the school premises.

The apprehension of the 15-year-old pupil in Mankweng, Limpopo, was on Tuesday morning for deadly stabbing his 16-year-old classmate at school.

The police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe attested, "It is alleged that the two learners had a fight while playing within the school premises.

"Subsequently, the suspect produced a sharp instrument and stabbed the deceased before fleeing.

"The deceased was taken to the hospital but was certified dead on arrival."

The suspect was trailed to the top of a small hill, where the weapon used for the murder was discovered.

The Limpopo school pupil will appear in the Mankweng Magistrate';s Court in no time.
