Kenyan female prison warden dies in Kiharu estate

A female prison warden, Pauline Wangari was discovered dead in a presumed love triangle on Wednesday.

Wangari’s body was found in her room in Kiharu estate, Kenya.

She was last seen on Friday at her place of work before she left for the weekend.

The 24-year-old warden did not report for duty on Monday, and while her colleagues sought to check on her on Wednesday, they found a badly mangled body on her bed.

Wangari was found dead with several slashes on the head, chest in her rental house at Kiharu estate.

The neighbors said she had diverse male friends who often visit her rented room in the estate.

A neighbor who doesn’t want to be disclosed attested that “There were three visible knife wounds on the chest and the neck. We heard a commotion in her room on Saturday night before a man was seen walking out after 10pm”.

Her friends described her as light-hearted, cordial and charming.

County Police Commander, Josphat Kinyua said there had been commencement of forensic probes in order to help trace the warden';s last moments.
