Victims of Libya crisis mounts to 600

According to updated estimates provided to ANSA by medical sources, the number of victims in Libya since the inception of conflicts last month has mounted to 600, having 140 children, 150 women together with 25 health professionals.

The updated estimates were given to ANSA by the president of the Association of doctors of foreign origin in Italy (Amsi), Foad Aodi, who is in proximal to Libyan doctors on the ground.

A six-mass grave was discovered while the injured were 3,500, having 450 in serious conditions as eight ambulances were hit.

Libyan doctors, Aodi said, "also denounce the disappearance of 200 girls since the start of the conflict".

According to Aodi, the displaced are estimated to be “75,000, the majority women and children, and yesterday 100 families left Tripoli for Sirt".
