Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation minister, on Tuesday, becomes hopeful that Leah Sharibu would soon subdue her ordeal in the hands of Boko Haram insurgents.

Fani-Kayode stated this while celebrating Miss Sharibu as she turns a year older today.

At night on February 19, 2018, Leah was abducted together with her colleagues at Government Science College, Dapchi in Yobe State, Nigeria.

The abducted student has remained in the confinement of the gangsters for refusing to reprimand her Christian faith.

The former minister gratified Sharibu for standing by her faith despite her trials.

In a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode wrote: “May God continue to be with her and may he grant her freedom from her cruel captors. Millions are with you and are praying for you O Daughter of Zion.

“Blessed are those that are persecuted for their faith. In the fullness of time you shall prevail. Happy birthday Leah Sharibu!

“Today is Leah Sharibu’s birthday. She has been held captive by Boko Haram for over 400 days now simply because she has refused to renounce her Christian faith.

“She is a reference point for courage, strength and faith and a source of inspiration and pride for every believer.”
