Vehicles on fire as fuel truck falls at Isolo, Lagos

A fuel truck which reportedly fell along Oke Afa area of Isolo, Lagos on Monday night caught fire early Tuesday.

According to reports, the full tank fuel truck at about 10pm on Monday night lost control and fell, splattering its content on the road and drainage.

Some inhabitants of the area were said to have obstructed the road as a means of safety in saving lives and property, while on lookout for the arrival of Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA) and other emergency control teams.

According to onlooker, some early risers removed the roadblocks to ply the road without considering the danger at about 5:30am on Tuesday morning

The ignition of the fire outbreak was said to be caused by a driver of a fully loaded commercial bus who also lost control of his vehicle while plying the road and fell in the drainage full of petrol.

Many vehicles were said to have been congested in the fire explosion. But the victims are not known yet.
