In respect of the Establishment of The Zonal Security Stakeholders’ Forum, The Oyo State Policy Community Relations Council (PCRC) Chairman, Reverend Peter Omotoye averred that “The Zonal Security Stakeholders’ Forum will drastically reduce number of crimes in the nation”.
The Chairman, who took his oath of office on 13th September, 2017 is identified for his mental consciousness in providing cardinal security towards an unruffled community.
The ardent Rev., recognized for his synchronous appearances at meetings and conferences with the view to yielding a soothing society has asserted that “The Zonal Security Stakeholders’ Forum is an enlargement of PCRC, which is not only the stakeholder involved, but every stakeholders in other stratums.”
While fielding questions from CEOAfrica during the AIG’s one-day familiarization tour on Wednesday at the Oyo state Police headquarter, Eleyele, Ibadan, the PCRC Chairman affirmed that “Security is a collective responsibility. Every Citizenry in Nigeria is part of security”.
He added that “Security is the business of everybody, which will work when it comes to community policing”.
Rev. Omotoye, however urged every citizenry of the nation and Oyo state in particular to “corporate with the police and be watchful of the people they hang around with”.
He further tasked the people of the state not to hesitate in bringing to the police’ awareness any suspected case revolving around their community.
This he said, is as a result of The Zonal Security Stakeholders’ Forum seen as an avalanche of security, proximal to the dwellers of the community.
