Sequel to the two-day “bilateral strategic dialogue” held in Washington on Wednesday under the umbrella of United States and Kenya, the revolution to degrade Al-Shabaab was pinpointed.

While the future enterprises were portrayed in convention, the security affairs in the discourse stated “…the United States commended the sacrifice of the Kenya Defense Forces in Somalia”.

The discussions led by Foreign Minister Monica Juma and Senior State Department Officials led to few details given from the discourse.

In same vein, it stated that “Both sides committed to enhance counterterrorism, defense and maritime surveillance security cooperation through intelligence sharing and capacity building".

“The two governments reaffirmed their commitment to degrade Al-Shabaab and agreed to work with UN Security Council partners to sanction Al-Shabaab and other terror groups operating in the Horn of Africa.” It added.

Aside the joint force towards the degrading of the Al-Shabaab, the duo set to intensify their economic synchronization and stimulate opportunities for US businesses.
