2019 Polls: Oyo CP warns against breach of peace, releases election hotlines

Ahead of the Presidential and National Assembly elections holding on Saturday, the Oyo state Commissioner of Police has warned residents of the state of any act capable of causing a breach of peace.

This was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations, Oyo state Command, SP Olugbenga Fadeyi and made available to CEOAfrica on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the state command as led by CP Shina Olukolu is committed to follow through with the directives of IGP, Muhammed Adamu in ensuring that peace is sustained during and after the elections.

Consequently, the Oyo state Police Commissioner warned the people of the state to shun all acts capable of truncating the existing peace in the state advising aggrieved parties to seek redress in the court of law.

He further assured the good people of the state that all possible threats to the peaceful conduct of the elections are continuously being identified and that necessary security measures have been putĀ in place to eliminate such threats.

CP Olukolu encouraged the people to turn out in large numbers to exercise their civic rights assuring all and sundry of a hitch free exercise.
