Reactions have continued to trail the statement credited to President Mohammadu Buhari as regards ballot box snatching. The President had courted controversy on Monday while speaking during a caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) when he threatened that anyone who tries to cart away with ballot box does so at the risk of his or her life.

It is worthy of note that the provisions of the law stipulate a maximum sentence of 24 months in prison for snatching of ballot boxes.
