Prince Saka Oyedeji Mabro, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the postponement of Saturday election, saying their reactions over the development were sheer crocodile tears.

He alleged that the presidency and APC were privy to the action of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for covert intention and parochial interests, adding that such “connivance” had met a brick wall in whatever means he could have been conceived.

Mabro further chided President Buhari for staging a comic relief by his statement, where he expressed disappointment in the electoral body over the sudden postponement, as he accused him of double standards.

The PDP stalwart opined that the body language of the ruling party does not suggest any support for credible polls and democratic governance, accusing APC of being desperate to hold on to power through any means possible.

He lambasted the Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole of being divisive in his style of leadership and arrogating undeserved power to himself.

Mabro asserted that the characters of Oshiomole and that of the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-rufai could only heat up the polity and disintegrate the country if not quickly checkmated.

“Nigerians are wise and smart, they are aware of the real notion behind the action of INEC, and the subsequent reactions coming from President Muhammadu Buhari and his a deceptive party, the APC.

“Coming out to condemn the callous postponement by the President and it’s party is nothing but an act of shedding crocodile tears, it is indeed a drama of absurd.

“There was verifiable evidence that the presidency and APC were privies to this development, obviously, whatever be their covert move has failed woefully, they should start packing their loads from Aso rock”, he said.

Speaking on the National Assembly election in the state, especially in the Osun Central senatorial district, where the former Attorney General in the state, Dr. Ajibola Bashir of APC is slogging it out with the former Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, Mabro concluded that it was a walkover for his party.

“There was a consensus amongst our people to vote against arrogance, kleptomania and deception, which the candidate of APC stands for, it will go the same way in the other two senatorial districts.

“Nigerians will soon know the party that truly won the gubernatorial election of 2018 in Osun in the forthcoming senatorial elections. The broad day robbery will be clearly exposed with a profound electoral disgrace awaiting APC in the three senatorial districts”.
