Moscow, Jan 11, IRNA - Iran Foreign Minister's special aide for political affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari discussed the latest developments in the Middle East including Syria, Yemen and Libya with Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov late on Thursday.
During the meeting, both sides also dealt with developments unfolding in Sudan and occupied lands.
Ansari who arrived in Moscow on Wednesday reviewed important regional issues with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin and Russian President Putin's Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev.
Ansari stressed the need for maintaining trilateral cooperation among Iran, Russia and Turkey.
Commenting on his trip to Moscow, he said that Syrian and Yemeni developments as well as regional issues were explored in meetings with the Russian officials.
Vershinin, for his part, expressed pleasure over holding another session within the context of Tehran-Moscow regular dialogues, as the issues under discussion are very important.
