The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Ibadan Zone, has cautioned the Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Osogbo, Professor Labode Popoola, against harassing and threatening its members.

The warning was issued on Monday at the end of the zonal meeting of the Union held at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

In a statement by the coordinator, ASUU Ibadan Zone, Ade Adejumo and the ASUU Chairman, University of Ibadan, Dr. Deji Omole, the union said: “Professor Popoola compelled members to attend management, senate, principal officers and other statutory meetings during strike.”

The union asked its members in the institution to disregard any directive of the vice chancellor that contravened the strike bulletins 1-5 issued by the National Strike Coordinating Committee (NSCC) of the union.
