One person has been confirmed dead while nine others sustained various degree of injuries in Busika motor rally, Ugandan police have confirmed.

It was indeed another sad day in Uganda as a vehicle ran into a crowd going on a rally resulting in a fatal accident.

The incident was said to have occurred while the driver of the vehicle was trying to avoid a thief who was been chased after stealing a mobile phone. It was revealed that the suspect ran across the road in a bid to escape. This prompted the driver of the vehicle to suddenly engage the break. The vehicle rammed into the fans in the process thereby resulting in ten casualties.

The nine injured persons were immediately rushed to Mulago, Nsambya hospitals and Kasana Luwero health centre in Uganda.

It would be recalled that a boat mishap occurred just a few days ago in Uganda claiming several lives.
