Borno state Governor, Kashim Shettima on Tuesday evening led a delegation to condole the family of Late Miss Hauwa Mohammed Liman, one of the aid workers attached to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), murdered by Boko Haram.

She was abducted during one of the deadly terrorist attack on Rann, the headquarters of Kala-Balge Local Government Area of the State.

The visit was also on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of a presidential delegation coming afterwards.

Late Hauwa Mohammed Liman was assassinated by her captors following the expiration of the deadline issued by the terrorists to ICRC and the Nigerian Government.

While sympathizing with the bereaved family, the Governor described the late humanitarian worker as someone who lost her life while serving humanity, and offered a special prayer for the peaceful repose of her soul.

He assured that the Government will carry the family along, describing her death as devastating.

Governor Shettima condemned the activities of the terrorists, described them as anti Islamic, maintaining that they will soon be completely decimated.

The deceased, aged 24 is survived by her father, Alhaji Mohammed Liman, her mother and siblings.
