2019 Presidential: Ex-CBN deputy Governor joins runners’ league

A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Obadiah Mailafia will on Thursday submit his intention and nomination forms to contest for the presidential election come 2019.

In a press release made available to news personnel in Abuja on Thursday by the African Democratic Congress’s (ADC) National Coordinator, Electoral Matters and INEC Liaison, Chief Anayo Arinze, it said, Obadiah who indicated to contest for President in 2019 elections will arrive the National Secretariat of ADC by 12.00 pm.

The statement added that ADC which serves as a third force would contest all elective positions, adding that the party was experiencing an influx of aspirants since the INEC released election timetable.

Dr. Obadiah Mailafia was also a former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Economic and Policy Matters.
