The Hausa film industry popularly known as Kannywood has launched its first home VIP Cinema in the history of filmmaking in North and Nigeria in general.
The Home VIP cinema is all about the subscription of films by the viewers to enable them watch a particular film or films of their choice at their convenience.
'Sarauniya' was the film that was first shown at home since the launching of the cinema last week.
'Sarauniya' a film sponsored by Rite Time has A-list Kannywood actors such as Ali Nuhu, Adam A. Zango, Rabi'u Rikadawa, Asabe Madaki, Hadizan Saima and Alasan Kwalle among others.
'Sarauniya' was screen-played by Ibrahim Birniwa, produced by Alhaji Sheshe and Directed by Hassan Giggs.
The director of the film, Hassan Giggs said some people have already paid huge amount of money and have watched the film with their families at their homes.
"I am optimistic that 'Sarauniya' would wax stronger in Home VIP Cinema, because alot of people have already paid and watched the film at their residences. If you do a good film people would definitely look for you and watch your film." He said.
Also, Kamal S. Alkali said Home VIP Cinema was a good development to fight against piracy.
Alkali who directed block-buster films like 'Jarumin Maza' and 'Umar Sanda' said that Kannywood would sustain the Home VIP Cinema only if the filmmakers continue to produce qualitative films with good storyline, good artistic movements and special dialogues.
He said, "For us to sustain this binema we must also produce films that would promote our culture, tradition and religion.
