Kano govt to recruits 1196 female teachers

The Kano state government has disclosed that permanent employment will be given to the 1196 female teachers who were successful in the State recruitment exercise and had directed the state local government education authorities to prepare letters immediately. 

The commissioner of information, Comrade Muhammad Garba said names of the new employees will be inserted in the respective local government s payroll.

Garba stated that the Kano state government has paid scholarship worth N350 million to Kano students within and outside the state while another sum of N450 million has been approved for the training of mathematics and science teachers under the state science and technical schools board at the National Teachers Institute Kaduna.

The commissioner who was once the president of the NUJ said the executive council of the state has also approved the conversion of the old Aminu Kano Community College to its community owned college as requested by one of its founders, Kano based billionaire Alhaj Aminu Dantata.

He also said that the said state will however continue to post teachers to school as part of its contributions to education.

Garba said another sum of 144 million has been set aside to support farmers in the state for the purchase of tractors.
