RIOT IN AJARA AREA OF BADAGRY

UNREST GREETS THE BADAGRY COMMUNITY AMID GROUP RIOT ON SUNDAY

Ajara area of Badagry, Lagos State went into disarray on Sunday as a group Illegal importer popularly known as ‘Fir War’ drew up a battle against the custom service team.

The story reaching CEOAFRICA says the riot was triggered following the death of a ‘Fire War’ boy allegedly killed by the custom service team for struggling with them over his seized vehicle load of goods.

The deceased ‘fire war’ boy was said to be coming from the border to Lagos State before he was interrupted by the custom officers who seized his vehicle and the goods and consequently shooting him when he tried struggling with the custom team.

According to the source, the riot which followed the incident threw the Ajara area of Badagry into confusion as the whole community suffered temporal state of unrest which lasted for several hours before calm was finally restored.

The Group which went after the fleeing custom service team in the demonstration were said to have burnt down buildings and vehicles belonging to the custom at the area.
