Governor Tambuwal donates house to Super Eagles’ player

Governor Aminu Tambuwa of  Sokoto State  has given a four bedroom bungalow to the Super Eagles player, Abdullahi Shehu.

This was disposed by Governor Aminu Tambuwal on Monday, when Shehu paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Sokoto.

CEOAFRICA reported  that Shehu, who participated in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia, hails from the state.

According to a statement by Abdullahi Danko, the Media Aide to Governor Tambuwal, “the state Commissioner for Lands and Housing was also directed to identify a suitable land to be allocated for the construction of sports complex to be named after Abdullahi Shehu.”

He quoted the governor as saying “We are doing our bit to encourage youths to develop their skills and excel in life like Shehu.”

Tambuwal explained that Sokoto State was proud of him and assured him of the state government’s continuous support and encouragement.

Earlier the Super Eagles’ player, Abdullahi shehu thanked the Governor for his contributions to sports development in the state and assured of total support of youths to his Administration .

Abdullahi while commending the Governor for his efforts at developing the education sector in the state, announced his determination to execute a legacy project in collaboration with philanthropists in sokoto.

The Super eagles player also informed the Governor of their plan to organize a charity football involving Super eagles players in sokoto and called for Government support and assistance.

He also lauded the state Government efforts of tackling the menace of drugs abuse among youths in the state.
