3 journalists died in a ghastly accident

Three members of the  Nigerian Union of Journalist NUJ were reported dead on thursday evening in a gastly accident in Ilesa area of Osun state.

Our Correspondent said that the chairman of Radio Nigeria Chapel Ibadan Tunde Oluwanike, the Assistant treasurer of Lagos council Okonkwo And one other member who is yet to be identified lost their lives  in the accident.

Other identified members of NUJ involved in the accident are Gbenga Opadotun chairman of Oyo NUJ, National treasurer Fatimah Abdulkareem, Lagos NUJ chairman Deji Elumoye.

Meanwhile they were said to have been invited for a meeting by the National Chairman Mohammed Garuba when their tyre bursted in ilesa on their return from Abuja.

Report says that the Osun state chairman Abiodun Olalere led a rescue team to the scene of the accident where some of them who had injury on the leg and head during the accident were taken to LAUTECH teaching Hospital in Osogbo the state capital.

CEOAfrica also gather that the NUJ chairmen of both Lagos and Oyo state we not injured in the cause  the accident while fatimah Abdulkareem was seriously injured.
