ANGOLA AND NAMIBIA TO ENTER INTO FISHERY COOPERATION FOR ECONOMIC BENEFIT

Angola and Namibia are considering holding an economic forum involving operators from both countries, with the view to identifying investment opportunities of common interest.

The information on this intention which is said to be based on the need for stimulation of business cooperation especially in the area of fisheries is contained in a note released at the end of the Namidian delegation’s visit to Angola.

The parties recognizing the importance of scientific research, preservation and protection of resources, fight against illegal fishing and development of aquiculture has agreed to cooperate for professional exchange, training, management, control and trade of marine resource.

At the visit of the Namibian delegation to Agolan staff of the sector, Minister Vitoria de Barros Neto and her colleague Bernhard Essau expressed the wish to strengthen cooperation and thus improve the living of the people from both countries.
