Before embarking on the journey to commission the community health centre in Igbo-Elerin, the principal, teachers and students of Isabatudeen Girls Grammar School II, Ibadan paid Hon. Sugar a courtesy visit in celebration of the school’s cultural week.
The students who entered the premises of Everlasting hotel, General-gas, Ibadan owned by Hon. Sugar with traditional songs accompanied with traditional drums and dance steps described Hon. Olatoye Sugar as ‘their father.’

In his address, Hon. Sugar who was surprised to see the principal and the entire school of Isabatudeen said ‘‘I am so happy to see you, although you all decided to surprise me. Thank you for lifting our culture, I want to appreciate the teachers who ensured that Yoruba culture is celebrated. Our culture is the best because it is the most complete culture in Nigeria. My advice is that, always uplift your culture wherever you find yourself.’’
The principal of the school, Alhaja Okunade while speaking with CEOAfrica, referred to the governorship aspirant as a father of all ‘‘I remembered a time the school was desperately in need of a mosque, we called out to our father and he answered us immediately. Today, we have a modern mosque in our school. Hon. Sugar is a philanthropist who delights in helping the young and old. We are here to pay homage because we are celebrating our cultural week and he is our father, which is why we have appeared in our traditional outfit.’

The representative of Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Chairman House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning and Founder of Olatoye Sugar Foundation Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar, gave out monetary gifts to the principal and students of the school, he also distributed cultural materials in order to celebrate the cultural week.
