Oyo free health care: Hon. Sugar donates free quality drugs worth 10 million naira

The Olatoye Sugar Foundation (OSF) initiated by honourable member representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Chairman House Committee on Urban and Regional Planning and Development in the House of Representatives, Abuja and Oyo state governorship aspirant Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar, has donated free quality drugs worth 10 million naira.

In a bid to solve the deteriorating state of health services in Oyo state. Hon. Sugar has donated 10 million naira worth of drugs, to be given out to patients diagnosed with different ailment.

The representative of the green chambers who has shown the people of Oyo State that he will not relent in putting smiles on their faces, hosted the medical team of Omoh’s Apex Solution Limited last weekend to enlighten the masses who were present for medical check-up at the OSF headquarter in Ibadan.

A representative of Omoh’s Apex Solution Limited, Mr Oyeleke Micheal, while educating patients at the OSF clinic said ‘‘there are the two types of disease that are present in the human body which are: ‘Acute and Chronic disease.’ Acute Disease are ailment that appears and vanishes when you use drugs. These kind of diseases are curable. Unlike Chronic disease which tend to grow in the body without you knowing. This type of diseases can stay in the body for a very long time but when it becomes visible it will be very difficult to cure and may lead to death.’’

He cited examples of chronic disease to be: Cardiovascular Disease (disease of the heart), cerebral disease (disease of the brain), Diabetics (High blood sugar disease), Osteoarthritis (Bone disease) and lots more.

Oyeleke explained that looking healthy does not guarantee that a person is free from disease and not looking healthy does not mean that person is diagnosed with an ailment until such a person is tested.

He encouraged the people to live in a clean environment as ‘‘Health is Wealth”.

Eye Clinic

The OSF free weekly medical services which is usually the last activity of the week, attended to patients with cataract on Saturday at the OSF headquarter in Ibadan.

Some of the beneficiaries of Saturday’s free medical services, lauded Hon. Sugar for his incessant selfless service to humanity.

Mr Mogaji Ajibolu, Mrs Olabisi Obisesan, Mr Adebiyi Olu, Mrs Titilayo Olalekan and Mrs Mistura Adebiyi who have all been blind for several years, with uncontrollable tears after the eye surgery, expressed their gratitude to the great philanthropist for initiating OSF.
