Traditional religion worshippers in the country have expressed displeasure against President Goodluck Jonathan over their non inclusion as delegates that would partake in the forthcoming national conference warning that it may incite anger in the county.

The President of the World League of Traditional Religions, Prince Adigun Olosun while addressing a press conference in Osogbo, capital of Osun State, Southwest Nigeria on Friday said Christians and Muslims got 18 slots each, wondering why traditional worshippers should be sidelined.

While saying that the action of the federal government was not fair as to the composition of the delegates that would participate in the national conference, Prince Olosun noted that their non-inclusion would be viewed as deliberate Marginalization of their members.

Prince Olosun however issued a week ultimatum to the Federal Government to include his members in the conference or risk legal action. His words: “we traditionalists hereby demand for our 18 slots in the spirit of equity and fairness. We are part of Nigeria and we are also active in the society. Any attempt to bypass traditionalists in a national conference of this nature is like putting fire on the roof of a house. All interests are supposed to be well represented in the confab.

“We are using this opportunity to tell President Goodluck Jonathan and all stakeholders in the Nigerian project to quickly allocate 18 slots to us before the commencement of the conference or be prepared to face legal action.”
