Former presidents and heads of state topped the 100 Nigerians honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan at the centenary celebrations in Abuja yesterday. Among the leaders who were on hand at the presidential villa to receive their awards last night were former president Olusegun Obasanjo and former heads of state, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. Others were former head of state, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, head of the defunct Interim National Government (ING) Chief Ernest Shonekan and former defence minister Gen.Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma. The late Gen.l Sani Abacha, Umaru Musa Yar’adua and Gen. Murtala Mohammed got the post-humours award. (Leadership)
