The wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan and the wife of the former Defence Minister, Mrs Daisy Danjuma would be  guests at a book launch in honour of Yeye Oodua, Dr HID Awolowo where they are being expected as the Special guest of honour and as Chief Launcher respectively.

 The occasion, where Oba Otudeko, Alhaji Arisekola Alao, Otunba Subomi Balogun, Chief Kessington Adebutu and many other dignitaries across the nation are also being expected, would in addition,  witness the institution of an international Award (HID Woman of Excellence Award) which the authors of the book proposed to offer annually in a grand ceremony to a woman adjudged through a thorough selection to have stood behind her husband during the process of serving humanity using the instrument of state.

The launching of the book titled: "The Challenges of Womanhood: The story and poetic celebration of Yeye Oodua, Dr( Mrs) HID Awolowo" would immediately follow the birthday of the Sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo also slated for the same 6th March 2014 at the Efunyela hall of the family residence.

 The International Award, according to the release signed by the secretary of the launch committee, Mr Sam Obakpolor, would annually be administered by a committee with a national spread which would be inaugurated at a later date.

The objective, the release added, is to immortalise the unique achievements of HID Awolowo the matriarch of the Awo's family whom according to the authors in the book "is a symbol of dignity and excellence, a pride of every woman."
