A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Adebisi Olopoenia yesterday assured that the state chapter of the party is ever ready to deliver the state for President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

Speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, said against widespread speculation by recent outburst of some member of the party, the party was putting finishing touches on reclaiming the state as well.

He said the recent outburst by the former Chief of Staff to Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, Dr Saka Balogun was not the true state of the party in the state. "PDP as a family in the state is working tirelessly to return President Goodluck Jonathan to Aso rock come 2015 as well as win Oyo State.

"And this is a joint effort of all stakeholders in the party. What Dr Balogun said is uncalled for and is not a true reflection of things in the state. "To us, we know his sponsor from Abuja who have consistently promising people that she will do this or that. I challenge him to name the saboteurs in Oyo PDP. Party politics have surpassed his arm twist game, things have changed. We're aware of how they're trading their chances across parties, this game can't work in Oyo PDP.

"Today, Yinka Taiwo is our chairman. So, if Dr Balogun can establish that Yinka is the saboteur, let him come out and tell us. He (Taiwo) was a local government chairman during Chief Alao-Akala's regime. The former governor who also hails from Ogbomoso has accepts Taiwo as the only state chairman of PDP in the state.

"His advice that the state executive be dissolved when the primary of the party is coming up less than eight months clearly shows that he doesn't understand the game again.  For emphasis, Oyo state PDP will deliver the state for Jonathan in 2015 and win the state back from the APC," he said.
