The grand reception of the Anioma nation on Saturday for their son and governor of Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has set the pace for the Ika born governor to bid for his reelection in 2019.

The colourful event which was graced by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, former governors of Delta state, Chief James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who all endorsed Governor Okowa's second term bid.

Speaking at the occasion, the PDP National Chairman, Prince Sscondus averred that no amount of political intimidation, arrests and detention would cow the party from taking over the Presidency and winning most of the elections in 2019.

The PDP National chairman's assertion came at the backdrop of strong rumours that the supposedly host Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Red Chambers was allegedly arrested and being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over corruption charges.
