OYO FREE WEEKLY HEALTH SERVICES: OSF Clinic operates 10yrs of blindness

The grand finale of the free weekly medical services of Olatoye Sugar Foundation (OSF) sponsored by Hon.Olatoye Temitope Sugar, member representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency and Chairman House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning was held today at its Ibadan headquarters where ten years of blindness was operated on.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr.Saliu Usman, while speaking with CEOAfrica said he could not see with his two eyes for the past ten years and it worsened last year. “I have been battling with this as far back as 2008 but it became worse last year when I could not see anything at all. I can see very clearly now, in fact I am the happiest person on earth. I am very grateful to God and Hon. Sugar. I will personally set up a campaign team for him”.

Similarly, Mrs.Apinke Olaiye, who benefited from the first weekly medical service, said she has set-up a 19-member campaign team at Apete where she resides in honour of Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar.

At the general check-up section, a man identified as Engr. Philip Emoekpeire was diagnosed with Arthritis and the OSF medical personnel administered the treatment with the needed medication. “I have been to different hospitals and have spent a lot of money but the pain never reduced. I heard of this programme from a neighbor, I have been attended to and I feel better now. I heard he is going for 2019 governorship election, the Lord will bless his ambitions”.

 

The medical team advised those who attended today’s free weekly medical services that they do more exercises, maintain good nutrition as it will help prevent diabetes which can lead loss of sight and heart failure.
