The former Stellenbosch FC teenager made his Matsatsantsa earlier this month in the CAF Confederation Cup against Petro de Luanda, and came on in the second leg to help the club bounce back from being 1-0 down to securing the 2-1 win that took them into the next round.
Now, with the international break taking place, the Siya crew has been informed that the 18-year-old has jetted out to Europe and will train with the club over the next week or so, where the Blauwvingers will be taking a closer look at him. He has already had two spells there, in 2015 and last year.
Le Roux has already represented South Africa at both U17 and U20 level, and Kaitano Tembo seems to like what he’s seen from the teen, hence the decision to use him in the highly competitive CCC competition.
The midfielder played six games for Stellenbosch before making the move to SuperSport at the start of the year, and – despite his age – it hasn’t taken him long to make an impression.
Le Roux is thought to have started training yesterday, and will be there until the weekend.
