In his relentless efforts in ensuring that members of the public in Oyo State benefit from the hallmark of good representation which is, delivering the dividends of democracy, the member representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal constituency and Chairman, house committee on urban development and regional planning, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar through his foundation, the Olatoye Sugar Foundation [OSF] has further demonstrated his resolve to keep to his promises in the area of providing free medical services to the people.
The free medical service which has now become a weekly routine exercise across the state was carried out at the state headquarters of the Olatoye Suagar Foundation (OSF) in Ibadan.
Responding to questions from our reporter during the free medical service at the OSF state headquarters, the senior consultant on media and publicity for OSF, Dr Tunde Amusat described the activity as a weekly ritual which has touched thousands of lives across the state especially those who could not afford the medical bills for their ailments.
He explained that the free health care service was designed to treat patients with eye cataract and hernia. According to Dr. Amusat, who stated that the beneficiaries were already seated even before the commencement of the medical treatment noted that, hundreds of people were present to receive medical treatment on eye cataract and hernia surgery.
Dr. Amusat further stated that the free medical service is not meant for Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency alone as all the thirty three local government areas of the state are also keen beneficiaries of the free medical service of the Olatoye Sugar Foundation [OSF].
One of the beneficiaries of the free medical service identified as Mr. Rafiu Adeagbo who was said to have been blind for more than a decade showered his benefactor with series of prayers. He said ‘’Sugar is my benefactor, he has restored my sight at my old age, may God continue to uphold him.’’
Other beneficiaries who benefited from the free medical service appreciated Hon. Olatoye whom they described as God sent. They prayed to God to continue to empower him in his quest to attaining his desired greatest height.
On ground to attend to the people were the medical team of OSF and members of the foundation.
According to OSF,Ibarapa East local government area will be the next host of the free medical service this week.
