Hon. Fagunwa Sakirudeen flags off roads project in Ibadan LCDA

The people of Odo-Oba, Ola Mummy and Eyini in Orita Challenge all in Ibadan South Local Council Development Area, LCDA could not hide their joy as the caretaker chairman of Ibadan South LCDA, Hon. Fagunwa Sakirudeen Kayode flagged off the Odo-Oba, Ola Mummy and Eyini roads which have been in a state of comatose for years.

The flag off ceremony which took place at Odo-Oba axis of the three roads had in attendance, members of Ibadan South LCDA, party chieftains of All Progressives Congress, APC, security agencies and members of the host communities.

While addressing the crowd, Hon. Fagunwa thanked God for the historical event which many had thought was practically impossible in the affected areas. He went further to appreciate the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi for creating local council development areas which has helped the transformational agenda of the present administration across the state.

The caretaker chairman noted that ';;;;';;;; this LCDA is very happy to be part of this modern development';;;;';;;;. He said that, ';;;;';;;;the construction of roads at the grassroot is meant to improve the quality of life and standard of people living within the LCDA by providing free flow of goods and people as well as creating enabling environment to promote political and economic growth from one community to the other';;.

Hon. Fagunwa assured the people of more good and life changing programmes if they continue to support the laudable moves of the present administration in the state.

Dignitaries at the flag off event include Secretary to Ibadan LCDA, Tajudeen Asamtem, former Commissioner in Oyo State, Aberdeen Oladimeji, chairman Odo-Oba community, Tajudeen Olaniran, security agencies and other council officials.

Eyini road ready for rehabilitation.

The people of Eyini community could not curtail their joy when the caretaker chairman of Ibadan South LCDA, Hon. Fagunwa Sakirudeen Kayode alongside his entourage touched down at the community to flag off the rehabilitation of Eyini road which has remained dilapidated for years.

Hon. Fagunwa in his speech admonished the people to co-operate with the present administration in the LCDA to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy which the LCDA under his watch has resolved to deliver to the people. He went on to seek for the co-operation of members of the community to assist the construction company handling the project.

';;;;';;;;I am using this opportunity to appeal to member of this community to work hand in hand with the construction staff while the construction of this road is on-going and jealously protect all the facilities at the construction site because to whom much is given much is expected';;;;';;;;.

While commending the caretaker chairman for his sound and purposeful leadership, the chairman, Eyini Community Development Association, Engineer Adeniyi Ayoade conveyed the message of appreciation of members of Eyini community to the caretaker chairman for the timely intervention of the council in ameliorating the suffering of the people plying the Eyini road which links up with Lagos-Ibadan express road.

Engr. Ayoade who described the rehabilitation project as a child of necessity having suffered serious neglect by previous administrations, called on Hon. Fagunwa to come to the aid of Eyini Community by joining hands with the Community Development Association, CDA in constructing a health Centre which had already been embarked upon by members of the community.

On his part, the APC chairman in Ibadan South East, Engr. Rotimi Arowolu commended Hon. Fagunwa for initiating such a project which is considered as highly developmental in nature. The APC stalwart therefore charged the people to continue to support the administration of governor Ajimobi so as to ensure the continuous delivering of the dividends of democracy.

The highpoint of the event was the flag off ceremony which was carried out by Hon. Fagunwa, APC chieftains and members of Eyini Community.

Adeniyi Ayoade, chairman community development council, Ibadan South East, Alhaji A. S Oloyede, chairman Adelabu market, Prince Adeyemi Adetona, security agencies among others.
