Niger Delta youths have declared that President Muhammadu Buhari would be a hard sell in the South South region if he decides to seek re-election in 2019.

They also warned the Federal Government on moves to change the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General Paul Boroh.

In a communique issued at the end of a meeting of Pan Niger Delta Youths Forum, the youth leaders expressed concern that there is nothing concrete to show as Buhari administration’s achievement in the last two years in the Niger Delta region.

According to Richard Akinaka, Famous Danumeigha and Sele Ebikabowei, president, vice president and national leader respectively, the federal government has shown complete disdain for the people of the region as no developmental project is going on in the region.

They noted with concern that political leaders from the region have been deliberately relegated to the background to play minor role in the Buhari administration thereby sidelining them and depriving the region of serious developmental projects.
