The Oyo State chapter of All Progressive Congress(APC)  said the reason why  they were absent from the South West inauguration of   Muhammadu Buhari Osinbanjo(MBO) 2019 campaign office was because the party didn’t receive an official invitation  about the inauguration.

Abdulazeez Olatunde, director for media, research and strategic planning of the All progressive congress said this why speaking with CEOAFRICA in an exclusive interview today at the state secretariat in Ibadan.

The APC media director refuted the claim of the party having their rally or campaign as false as INEC has not given any party the go ahead to campaign.

He explained that the event that took place at the Oke Ado APC secretariat was a briefing of the forth coming Local government election which brought together all aspirants and their supporters.

The media director also mentioned the issue between Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu and the party as propaganda as his claims were baseless and pointless, saying no one is stopping him from contesting for the governorship, let the best man win..

Mr Olatunde briefly spoke on the petition raised by Minister Adebayo Shittu, he explained the reason why he called it "baseless". He said there was a reason for the governor to do what will benefit the whole state over the interest of an individual and that was exactly what was done. The governor saw reasons why the fire service station needed to be constructed at the Sarki Zone over the interest of the minister to build a computer based centre on the land. He said based on the resolution of the Parapo group and local government in that jurisdiction, they were not intending to give the land to the minister.

Mr Olatunde emphasized that there was no disunity within the party and that the Oyo Apc is in total support of the Muhammed Buhari and Osibajo  2019 relection .

He beseeched everyone to get prepared for the upcoming local government elections although the Oyo state independent electoral commission had not released their timetable on the date for the election.
