Daura Emirate Youth Progressive Movement (DEYPM) says has promised to purchase President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination form for the 2019 presidential election.

The president is from Daura, in Katsina state.

They also said they would purchase forms for the re-election of Aminu Masari, governor of the state.

Abdulkadir Lawal, chairman of the movement, disclosed this on Sunday at a rally which held in Katsina.

The rally was attended by thousands of youths from the five local governments areas under Daura emirate.

“We will purchase the forms as part of our contribution to support the two political leaders to recontest during the polls,” he said.

He said the movement decided to purchase the forms following Buhari and Masari’s “exceptional” performance in office.

Lawal said the two leaders had brought rapid development in their respective areas of jurisdiction, especially in security, agriculture, among others.

“Gov. Masari has succeeded in transforming education, infrastructure and health sectors in the state within the last two years,” he added.

He described Buhari as “Godsent”, saying prior to the advent of his administration, people in north-east were “experiencing hell” due to the activities of Boko Haram insurgents.

Although Buhari is yet to speak publicly about seeking re-election, the president’s supporters have begun his campaign.

On Saturday, some ministers and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) floated the president’s campaign office in Oyo state.
