Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is currently having the first National Economic Council (NEC) meeting of the year with the state governors to deliberate on pressing national economic issues.

The meeting which started at about 12.15pm is holding inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The council which has the Vice-President as the chairman has the governors of the 36 states, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Ministers of Budget and National Planning as well as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory as members.
