Fayemi, Former Ekiti Governor barred from holding public offices in the state

The Ekiti State Government has barred the former governor of the State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, long side the former Commissioner for Finance, Dapo Kolawole from holding any public office in the state for 10 years following the report of the Ekiti Judicial Commission of Inquiry.

A Judicial Commission of Inquiry was set up by the state government, over alleged mismanagement of the state’s finances between October 2010 and 2014.

The former governor, who is now the Minister of Mines and Steel Development and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC together with Dapo Kolawole , were indicted after the findings of the commission.

The two top politicians were declared, “unfit to hold any public office in the state,‎” in the report.
