The Executive Chairman Tamoil Oil and Gas, Alhaji Tajudeen Muyideen on Thursday said the recent fuel scarcity being experienced across the country should not be politicised as it is a result of high demand from the end users.

Alhaji Tajudeen stated this during an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA at his Molete office in Ibadan.

Explaining the cause of scarcity, the oil marketer said ‘’ it is not all about politics, it is about demand and supply, the demand is high but there is shortage in supply.

‘’Our business has really been affected, getting a tanker load of fuel from the depot now is not an easy task unlike before,’’ he added.

Asked when likely the scarcity will end, he said ‘’I’m just a marketer not the government’’

He pleaded with the federal government to take drastic measures to put an end to the scarcity as it has made life unbearable for the poor masses.
