Nasir El-Rufai, governor of kaduna state was on Channels TV last night where he maintained that the over 21,000 teachers that failed the October 2017 competency test, remain sacked. He said this while reacting to the protest embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress to kick against the mass sack of the teachers, yesterday January 11th.

Governor El-Rufai maintained that no amount of political blackmailing will make his administration change its decision to sack the teachers. He also disclosed that efforts are being made to employ new competent and qualified teachers to work in the state public schools.
