A combined security team on Thursday arrested a militant leader, Oyawerikumor Peregbabofa, aka Kareowei, who in Bayelsa allegedly beheaded a senior security officer  in Delta State.

Kareowei​ also supervised the murder of​ four soldiers in an ambush​. ​

​The gang leader led the killing of ​the ​security personnel ​in​ Edegbene community in Burutu Local Government Area. ​

Though the suspect sustained gunshot injury during shoot out, ​ he is in custody of security operatives.

The ​Police is expected to issue a release on the development of the issue later in the day.
