Thousands of Benue residents gathered at the IBB Square in Makurdi, the state capital on Thursday to witness the burial of victims of herdsmen killings.

Tears flowed freely as people placed curses on the killers.

A source said the victims would be buried at Adeke village in Makurdi where 74 graves had been dug as of 12 midday.
